Believe it or not, becoming a massage therapist wasn't my original plan.


After college, I spent five years as a dental nurse, followed by 13 years in administrative roles at companies such as Premier Prison Services and Banbury Magistrates Court.


In 2009, I took a leap of faith and started my own domestic cleaning business, which was a great success (I secretly loved cleaning!).


However, my passion for massage had been with me for much longer - I gained my ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage in 2003 and often treated friends and family, who encouraged me to turn it into a career. It wasn’t until 2016 that the timing felt right, and Body & Soul Massage & Beauty Therapy was born.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very beneficial and relaxing therapy which helps loosen tight muscles and blocked tissues.


This type of massage increases blood circulation, also delivers oxygen and nutrients to the muscles leading to a reduction in pain, inflammation and stiffness in muscles.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a specific type of massage therapy that concentrates on the deepest layers of muscle in the body to release tension, and ease aches and pains. Deep tissue massage can be an effective treatment for injured muscles. It makes it easier for the movement of toxins from the muscles and helps stretch tight or twisted muscle mass. It is frequently used to rehabilitate sports injuries.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is very beneficial to the upper back, shoulders, head neck and face. It is a deeply relaxing way to unwind and ease tension. This treatment helps with headaches, sinus problems, insomnia and stress. Coconut oil is the most popular ol to be used for this type of treatment and can be used on the hair also but this is optional.


This is usually done seated, but can be done lying down if preferred.

Warm Bamboo Deep Tissue Massage

Warm Bamboo massage is essentially the same as deep tissue massage. The heated bamboo is kneaded into the muscle/tissue just as the therapist would use their thumbs, fingers and forearms. Yet the Bamboo allows the therapist to knead deeper and firmer than they could with only using their hands.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is the use of heated stones. Basalt stones are used because they are smooth and retain heat well. Hot stone massage is used to help you relax as well as ease pain and muscle tension throughout your body. It relieves everyday stress and anxiety, promotes better sleep and improves blood circulation. The heat of the stones penetrates deep into the muscle tissue allowing the muscles to relax around 4-5 times faster than in a standard massage.

Thai Foot / Leg Massage

A Thai foot massage applies pressure to particular areas of the soles of the feet and lower legs. Hands, fingers, thumbs, knuckles and a rounded wooden thai foot massage stick are used to stimulate certain areas of the feet releasing blocked energy within the body’s many Sens lines (thai based meridians). This helps to balance and restore a healthy flow of energy throughout the body as well as dispersing build up of crystals of calcium and uric acid (toxic wastes). Some of the benefits of Thai Foot Massage include reduction in stress, aiding relaxation, detoxification and strengthening of the immune system, improved circulation in legs and feet, reduced stiffness and improved flexibility.

Table Thai Stretch Massage (through clothing)

Thai massage is an ancient form of treatment that is based on a system of treating energy lines (sen) that run through the whole body, to clear energy blockages and balance the body’s energy. The treatment is performed through loose clothing. I use a combination of acupressure, compression, and yoga-like stretches to release any physical and emotional tension in the body. It also increases the range of motion in your joints and muscles.

Myofascial Cupping

(Combined with Massage – Can include Gua Sha)

Myofascial Cupping is a modified version of the ancient Eastern style Cupping. It differs by specifically targeting the Musculo-Skeletal system rather than the meridian systems used by traditional Chinese practitioners. Plastic cups and vacuum suction with a hand operated vacuum pump is used to induce a vacuum inside a cylinder sealed to the skin by the use of oil or cream. The vacuum “draws” the soft tissue straight to the skin, providing a tense force to the soft tissue system, which can be left in one site for a prolonged period or moved along the tissue. Many benefits are helping poor circulation, sciatica, low back pain, chronic pain, arthritis, muscular aches, trigger points, carpal tunnel, athletic stress & injury, bursitis/tendonitis, plantar fasciitis & fibromyalgia.

GUA SHA

(combined with Massage – Can include Cupping)

Gua Sha is a natural therapy that involves scraping your skin with a massage tool to improve your circulation. The western style of treatment is very different to the eastern style – because we don’t need the skin to be red raw. There will be some slight redness (due to increased circulation), but this disappears after a short while.

Seated Acupressure Massage

(through clothing, no oils used)

Seated Acupressure Massage works on over 100 acupressure points of the head, neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands. It improves the flow of energy throughout the body to relax tense muscles and increase blood circulation. The stimulation of acupressure points causes the release of endorphins and natural cortisone, both of which are useful in the treatment of pain.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that moves lymph fluid from your tissue to your lymph nodes. It can help relieve lymphedema and improve circulation. It can ease symptoms such as fibromyalgia, stress, insomnia, or digestive issues and if you suffer from migraines and arthritis this treatment is also very beneficial.

Hopi Ear Candling

(includes a mini head & facial massage)

Hopi Ear Candles are hollow tubes made of cotton, soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs. The benefits of this treatment are removal of excessive ear wax, reduction of snoring, relief from problems such as sinusitis, rhinitis, glue-ear, tinnitus, headaches.

Kaeso hydrating facials are most suitable for dry skin. Formulated to restore moisture to boost complexion and restore long-lasting moisture. There is plenty of parking available on street or on dropped kerb at the bottom of my drive. On arrival please press the doorbell for Body & Soul and there will be a short medical form to fill in prior to your first treatment.

Please can you provide 1 large towel (bath sheet/beach towel) or 2 bath towels for your treatment. I can provide towels at an extra cost of £2 per towel.

To ensure a peaceful and relaxing experience for all clients, please arrive on time for your appointment - not early (a couple of minutes is ok) or late. If you arrive before your scheduled time, please kindly wait in your car or stand inside my front porch until your appointment begins. If you arrive very late, it might mean your appointment is cut short.

Due to the number of cancellations and no-shows over the last few months, I will now be forced to take a non-refundable deposit for all new clients. Please be aware that to book your appointment from now on, you will be asked to pay 50% of the appointment price within 12 hours to secure your appointment. I will send bank details to you once we have secured an appointment date. Please send a text/WhatsApp/email to confirm payment. If an appointment needs to be rescheduled (48 HOURS NOTICE REQUIRED).
